The Daily Essential

Exercise is something that needs to be done every day.  It's true.  Now, I know what you're thinking ~ 'You're crazy! I can't do it, I have kids and no time!'  While that may be true, both parts, it has to be done.  Think about brushing your teeth and your hair, putting on your make up, showering, etc.. things you do every day and have been doing every day for a very long time.  You do them as part of your personal hygiene because they (most of them) just have to be done and you just do it.

What if you approached exercise in the same way? As essential as brushing your teeth?  It doesn't have to be a huge commitment on a daily basis ~ say 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes in the afternoon.  I'd say that's doable and eventually it will be as much of a habit as any of the daily routines that you do and barely give much thought to.

The trick is making it something enjoyable for you personally.  Just make those minutes count and include your kids.  Like, do you like crankin' up the music and just dancing around free style? Cool!  All you need to concentrate on is that you've warmed up for a few minutes with a slower dance and that you really go for it ~ get your heart pumping!  It doesn't have to be dancing ~ maybe it's the Wii that's fun for you or taking a morning walk with your dog or whatever.

Just pick something that makes you happy and do it.  Don't be intimidated by the the fact that you have to exercise ~ just enjoy the movement and know that your doing something great for you and great for your kids.
