The Fitness Mom
It isn’t fair that...
some people don't have to work out to be thin! Anybody ever thought that??
That may be true ~ it may not be fair, but, like your mother probably said, who said life was fair?
Besides that, as I said before, thin doesn't mean healthy. These people may be thin, but they still have to exercise to be healthy and stay that way. In fact, I would venture to say that they may have it a little tougher because they see themselves in the mirror and may just assume that they are healthy because they're thin. That thinking may lead to them not exercising and taking care of themselves!
The people who are naturally thin but don't exercise to take care of their insides are what I like to call 'skinnyfat'. ~ meaning that they are thin but not fit ~ There is a difference.
Working out isn't all about aesthetics. Of course some of it is ~ maybe most of it for most people. But it's also about our health today and in the future. A fit body inside is going to respond better in all aspects of life:
Have you done your 20-30 minutes today?

Enjoy the weekend everyone and don't forget to give yourself your 30 minutes every day!!
Today's Workout
If you're following my plan from Sunday, today we'll be walking for 20 minutes.
Now I'm not talking a leisurely walk here, I'm talking brisk ~ about 120 steps per minute. (I talk more about walking here.) Your kids will certainly have no problem keeping this pace with you and if they're in a stroller or a wagon, well, the extra weight is a bonus!
Bad weather? Walk around inside! No excuses...

Friday Fit Tip
When you're working out, it's important to visualise the muscles that you are trying to work. 'See' them in your mind working and getting toned. Doing this not only is motivational, but it gives more concentration to the area which leads to better results!
Cool, huh?
