DON'T let that be this year. Let this year be the one where you take action. Let this year be the one where you have a plan. Let this year be the one you follow through!
I'm not so concerned about what you're eating because you all have children and more than likely you are making good food choices for them, thereby making good food choices for yourself. I'm more concerned with your activity ~ cardio and weight-bearing exercises.
My personal cardio favorite is dance. It's fun, it burns a lot of calories, you don't really have to know what you're doing and you can do it with your children ~ no matter their ages. Depending on your weight, you can burn an average of 109 calories in 10 minutes dancing!! Shoot for 20 minutes and that's 218 calories! Huge! Of course you have to get your heart rate up and really get into it to burn that. You can do freestyle or a dance dvd ~ whichever.
Another cardio that is good with kids is walking or running. You can do it outside or around the house. The only drawback is the speed. It may be hard to get your heart rate up walking with your kids, depending on their ages. Nonetheless, it's an option.
