After Christmas

Okay, so it's after Christmas and you're done with the Christmas Challenge.  How do you feel? What things from the challenge are you going to continue to do?

I'll keep the extra water, the extra fruit and veggie, the 400 calorie breakfast and the plank.  The rest will be absorbed into my workout routines.  My suggestion for you is that you take what made you feel good and leave the rest because if you try to do something just for the sake of doing it, then you'll stop and you may even drop the things that also make you feel good as a way of just throwing your hands up and just saying "Screw it! What am I doing this for??"

Well, I'll tell you what you're doing it for.  You're doing it for yourself ~ so that you can be active and healthy and have fun with your kids.  You're doing it so that in the later years of your life, you will still be vital and bright and enjoying being alive.  You're doing it because you are the most important person to your kids and they deserve it.

So, find out what activities make you happy ~ find out what activities you can do with your kids ~ figure out what you're willing to do. Then make a plan.  Just a one or two week plan and see what works and what doesn't and tweak it.

How about this?  When you're planning out your family meals for the week ~ make an activity plan and post it on your fridge or where ever you'll see it.  Get your kids involved ~ heck, get your whole family involved!  Have fun and above all keep moving!
