Fit Friday

Today I'm thinking about Walking Lunges because they work the entire leg and buttocks, get your heart pumping and, well, summer is coming! Who doesn't want shapely legs and a lifted derriere? I know I do!

In case you haven't done walking lunges before, here's how to perform one: Make an exaggerated step forward. Bend your front leg to form a 90 degree angle without letting your knee pass your toes. Drive forward with your front leg and bring forward your back leg to step. Repeat.

One fun way to incorporate these productive lunges into your day is by playing hide and seek with your kids. When you are 'it' - count - and then when you go to find your kid(s), do Walking Lunges!

Do you play 'monster' with your kids? This is totally a monster looking move!

Not only are you going to be working out but you'll look so funny that your kids will more than likely follow you and mimic your movements. Even if they don't, it will surely create lots of laughs for the both of you!
